If you enjoyed the superman movies, you’re really going to get a kick out of this remote control flying superman. I happen to be an RC flying hobbiest myself, so having a flying remote control superman sounds pretty good to me. Too bad I’m broke… but if I wasn’t, I’d buy it at amazon. Requires eight AA batteries which are used to charge Superman’s internal battery in about 10 minutes.

Want to teach your kids about the value of Fuel Cell technology and being environmentally friendly? How about getting them the H-Racer, a toy fuel cell powered race car for Christmas! This fun little toy is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and will drive for over 100 meters on a single tank. Refueling the vehicle is done by connecting it to the included, solar powered, hydrogen refueling station. The following quote is taken from the H-Racer website:

No combustion occurs inside a fuel cell. The only exhaust resulting from hydrogen fuel cell cars is pure water. Fuel cell cars that use hydrogen as a fuel are also known as “zero emission vehicles.” Today, many of the world’s automotive companies including Toyota, GM, Ford, Honda, and Daimler-Chrysler, are developing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles with the hope of introducing this technology to the public in the near future.

If you’ve ever wanted to get an RC vehicle, but had trouble deciding whether you wanted a car, plane or boat, perhaps this Hydroflyer is just what you’re looking for. Watch the video.

The Hydroflyer can function as a boat, can take off to become a “plane” or just skid along the ground like a car. (probably not good for the paint) From the video it appears to be pretty maneuverable and robust. Can be bought here. On the other hand, if you’re good with modeling, you could probably make one using these free plans.

The Australian Battle Group Club puts a lot of time and attention into their detailed models of famous WWI and WWII battleships, but they go one step further and add working Co2 powered cannons and balsa wood armor.
