It does an excellent job. It took us a couple of days to get our yard robo-proof so it did not get stuck but on rare occassions but now it just goes out cuts and comes back to charge itself almost every time. And if it doesn't make it back it's like going outside to play a video game to drive the thing back to the charging station.
